being the designated "lead" of anything is crap. had the misfortune of being the "lead writer" of an article recently, and it was rough going near the end there. things were actually kinda okay - at first. the two gals writing with me were most amiable, agreeable and "here, let me do that" - well, that is till it was time to put down their pencils and pass their papers. all of a sudden, they were like, "excuse me? that's today?", "i'm sorry i didn't get your zillion text messages", or just plain "do i know you?". hello? i've never missed a deadline! not ever ever! and no one's gonna change that! grrr! excuse me while i brain them with my imitation prada.
