He Called It (Hollywood) Love

Someone told me he loved me yesterday. And it sort of made me blue. Bluer than usual. In fact, it made me sigh dramatically.

This is how that conversation sort of went:

"I love you," he said, fake green eyes all soulful. "Do you love me, too?"

"Of course," I said. Then added, a tad flippantly, "Like you wouldn't believe."

"Don't disappear on me, okay?" Still serious.

"I won't," I said. "I won't"

At least, I think I said it.

"All you need is love," he said much later on.

If only that were true.
