rainy days and mondays

a super typhoon's in the area. and the first casualty? my thongs. (footwear, not undies.) they got drenched during the 20-second dash from my car to my building. (okay, before you berate me for even wearing thongs, let me just make it clear that it wasn't raining when i left the house. plus, i had no idea that a typhoon's anywhere near me. i told you, i'm not a very good "newscaster".) anyway, my thongs totally died on me. good thing, frequent thongs-snapper and (as a consequence) expert thongs-fixer, carpool cous was here to help me. she fixed it in a jiff. i've no idea how she did it. anyway, they look brand spanking new - so, yes, will go on shopping spree tonight as earlier planned.
